Serving impeccable southern cuisine, ART Catering & Events acquired Brick Landing’s Restaurant & Venue in March 2020. ART Catering & Events has been in the catering industry since 1997. Having been the exclusive caterer with Brick Landing for over three years prior to taking over operations, made this a smooth transition for all.
Husband and wife team, Chef Andrew Bland and Operator Terry Bland own ART Catering & Events and the Purple Onion Café located on Main Street in Shallotte, NC. Andrew is a French Cuisine Trained Chef from England, while Terry manages the day-to-day operations with true southern hospitality. Together, they make the perfect team for this growing business and have become well-known throughout the area for their beloved Purple Onion Café, delicious catering and their generosity to the community.
Andrew and Terry started their catering business in Florence, SC in 1997 and then decided to move their business to coastal Carolina in Shallotte in 2004. This is when they opened their ever so popular, Purple Onion Café. Since then, they have been busy catering events and serving the public daily breakfast, lunch and desserts.
The positive work culture within their businesses continues to shine through their team members. Throughout the planning stages to the day-of the event, clients are able to put their mind at ease knowing the behind-the-scenes is managed down to every last detail.
